Adopting

The puppies are $500 Canadian each, which includes the first round of shots, and deworming.  If you would like to reserve a puppy we ask a deposit of $200.  That ensures that you get your pup of choice.  When you come to pick up your puppy you pay the remaining $300.  Please contact me for more details.

All the puppies are going to be ready to go home the 20th of September, 2009.

In order to get ready for the arrival of your pup, we suggest you pick an area in your house where you can have a puppy pen.  The pups are going to have started their toilet training, and will be accustomed to puppy pads and newspaper.   It is going to take a few months to perfect the toilet training, so be prepared.

It is always good to plan in advance how you will train your pup.  There are crate training, clicker training and obedience classes you might want to consider.   The whole family should agree on your training rules in order to be consistent.  You must never lose patience with a puppy.  You must be gentle so they will always trust people.  You should expose them to all sorts of experiences.  You have to wait until their last round of shots before you can bring your pup to the dog parks.  It is really important to let your puppy meet people and other dogs so that they learn not to bite or be aggressive or scared.

Contract

Our puppies are being sold as pets only.  They are not registered, but are from a line of healthy and breed standard toy poodles.   We require new owners to sign a contract saying they will get their pets neutered, that they will not abandon the dog, and that they will take them to the vet for their shots.  This is to ensure that our puppies do not end up in puppy mills.

We want loving forever homes for our dogs.  If you should find yourself in a situation where you cannot keep your pet, or find another loving parent, you must bring the dog back to us.  None of our pups should ever be abandoned or end up at the SPCA.

Your dog will need to be seen several times by a vet for their shots.  Their first shots will be done by us at 8 weeks, you will get a vaccination chart.  You will need to take them to a vet at 12 weeks and 16 weeks for their other rounds of shots.  After this you should bring them to a vet once a year for a routine checkup and shots.

Health Guarantee

The puppies will have been vet checked when they go home.  If you find a serious health problem with your pet, you are able to return your dog to us for a full refund, within the first year.  You will need a signed letter from your vet detailing the problem.  Should you decide to keep the dog, you must cover the health expenses.
