Getting a little worried about the behaviour of your little girl? If you are positive that she is not pregnant, she may be going through a false pregnancy. This can be a little scary, since the poor little dog will be acting strange. She may be more aggressive towards the other pets in the house. She might start nesting, making forts in your laundry and blankets, and hiding toys in there. She might carry a toy around like it’s a puppy. During a false pregnancy your dog can have physical signs as well, such as swollen nipples, and she may even lactate. It is important to try and keep her from licking herself as this will only encourage milk production.
Symptoms of false pregnancy should go away by themselves after about three weeks ( if you don’t get a litter of puppies!) You do not usually have to worry about treating her, although do see your vet if you get concerned. The best way to prevent false pregnancies is to get your dog spayed.

Blind Dog Has Her Own Seeing-Eye Dog. Little Ellie, a King Charles Spaniel, can hardly see. That doesn’t stop her, as her best buddy Leo, a super smart German sheperd acts as her seeing eye dog. Ellie is a rescue dog, her eyes were never given the chance to develop properly. Leo has always loved little dogs, and stepped up to the plate when Ellie needed a friend.

Everybody will know just who controls your yard with this special sign! I think this is absolutely fantastic… just not sure which dog I am going to put on my sign. Maybe I will get two, one for the front, one for the back. Sure beats a “Beware of Dog” sign!!
